Reg served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was owner and proprietor of the Mainframe Computer Center of Hummelstown and was well-known as the leader and singer of "Reggie James and the Tiffany's".

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Hummelstown, and directed many church choirs over the past 53 years including the First United Methodist Church in Harrisburg. Reg was a member of the Hanover American Legion Post 14; and Past President of the Parent Teachers Association, the Crestview Manor Civic Association, and the Hummelstown Business and Professional Association.

Aside from his family, Reg's greatest love was music. He shared that gift with his children and influenced many upcoming musicians. He was greatly loved by his family and his many students and followers.
