Obituary for Paul David Warble Sr.

Paul David Warble, Sr., 73, of Chambers Hill, passed away Sunday, October 4,2020, at his home.

Born at his home in the Harrisburg area on January 1, 1947, he was the son of the late Edgar R. and Arvella Wolfersberger Warble.

Paul retired as a carpenter from the former Local 214 Carpenters’ Union. He was a member of the GTO Club. Paul was an outdoor enthusiast. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He loved listening to Elvis, 50s music and old school country. Paul was also an avid football and baseball fan, and enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball in his younger years.

Paul is survived by four children, Tammy Batche, wife of Kevin of Pottstown, Paul David Warble, Jr., husband of Divya of Downingtown, Terri Stoll, wife of John of Wellsville and Jenessee Phillips of Harrisburg; eleven grandchildren, Sarah, Dylan, Anya, Alea, Daniel, Joseph, Alexis, James, Tristan, Tationna and Todd; first wife, Patricia Grove of Harrisburg; three brothers, Edgar R. Warble husband of Patricia of Chambers Hill, Walter R. Warble of Manheim and Robert L. Warble husband of Jeanne of Hummelstown; three sisters, Lillian R. Linebaugh of Waynesville, OH, Eva A. Fechner of Nashville, TN, and Ruth E. Zemba wife of Gary of Hershey; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his second wife, Donna Warble; a brother, William A. Warble, Sr.; two sisters-in-laws, Phyllis Warble and Mabel Warble; and a brother-in-law, James Linebaugh.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 12, 2020 at 12:00 PM in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.

Those desiring may send memorial contributions to The Michael J. Fox Foundation, PO Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741 toward Parkinson’s Disease research.

I'm so sorry to hear about Paul's passing. I hadn't seen him or most of the rest of his family for many years, but I have a lot of fond memories of hanging out at his & Pat's house, fishing, and a couple pig roasts. I just listened to PJ's memorial to his father and was very touched by his many memories of him. Because of those memories, he will be with you all and stay in your hearts forever.
