Melvin Jennings “Rusty” Wolfe, III, 26, of Highspire, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020.

Born in Harrisburg on December 25, 1993, he was the son of Melvin J. Wolfe, Jr, of Highspire, and Christina M. Rodriguez Alandar fiancée of Harry Malle of York.

Rusty was a former dock supervisor for Saia LTL Freight, Carlisle. He was a 2012 graduate of Steelton-Highspire High School. Rusty was a veteran of the U.S. Army. A shooting sportsman, he also enjoyed fishing.

In addition to his parents, Rusty is survived by a sister, Amber L. Wolfe of Harrisburg; two brothers, Dustin A. Wolfe of Duncannon and Gunnar Alandar of Enola; paternal grandparents, Melvin J., Sr., and Shelby Watts Wolfe of Highspire; maternal grandparents, Barbara Schuler Rodriguez and Joseph “Bubba” Rodriguez both of New Cumberland; his long-time girlfriend, Jasmine Gold Kinsey and her children, Miles and Aspen, of Pine Grove; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A private graveside service with military honors will be held in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.

Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, is handling the arrangements.

Those desiring may make memorial contributions to either the PA Wounded Warriors, 1117 Country Club Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011, or online at, or to Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, PA 17036 to help offset the funeral expenses.

I’ll never forget the day I met you. Your smile lighting up a room, already making a smart quip at the managers. Bringing you food so you would stop eating out of the vending machines and late night talks and fishing. While you’re still the only one to have beaten me at darts, I’d give anything to play another round. Your laughter will be missed forever.
