Obituary for Kerry J. Edinger

Kerry J. Edinger, 67, of Hummelstown, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Easton, PA, on January 4, 1953, he was the son of the late Karl and Ann Sletor Edinger.

Kerry graduated from Easton Area High School in 1970,and received his bachelor’s degree from Moravian College. Kerry worked for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for 13 years. He retired from working as an employment compensation specialist for the Bureau of Unemployment Compensation at the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry.

Kerry had many passions. He loved sports, music, and dogs. He was a member of the Hershey Country Club Tennis League, the Senior Citizen Bowling League, and the Monday Morning Bowling League at Trindle Lanes.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Ann Marie Fignar Edinger, whom he married on March 22, 1986; a daughter, Kelly M. Gardner of Philadelphia; a son, Joseph J. Edinger, fiancé of Jennifer Lester of Linglestown; two sisters, Marsha Hahn, wife of James of Bethlehem, and Jenny Hetrick, wife of Larry of Easton; one niece, Natalie; and four nephews, Nicholas, Ethan, Colin, and Andrew.

In addition to his parents, Kerry was preceded in death by his brother, Matthew Edinger.

Due to Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, services will be held at a later date.
