I just discovered that my friend, Karen Lester, has passed away. I am deeply sorry and very sad, as she was a wonderful, kind-hearted, thoughtful and gentle woman. She always called me on my birthday and anniversary. Her passing is a tremendous loss to the people that knew her, including myself since 1979. My spouse, Mitra, and I will miss her very much. We will pray for her and her family. On the positive side, I am confident she is in heaven with her loved ones. She was an outstanding person who made substantive positive contributions throughout her life. I consider myself very fortunate to have enjoyed her company and wonderful friendship. Very respectfully, Gregory and Mitra Pavlin, Washington, DC
