Obituary

Judith Louise Sams Eldridge, 72, of Harrisburg, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020, in the Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

Born in Buffalo, NY, on September 17, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Jewel Woodrow and Blanche Mohler Sams.

Judy retired as a claims examiner from Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. A faithful member of Mountain View Bible Church, she enjoyed participating in its Seniors Class. Judy loved knitting, reading and decorating cakes.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert D. Eldridge; two sons, Robert D. Eldridge, Jr. husband of Kimberly of Mechanicsburg, and David J. Eldridge of Harrisburg; one daughter, Barbara R. Eldridge of Harrisburg; two grandsons, Robert D. Eldridge III and Michael D. Eldridge; and one sister, Barbara Weaver wife of Gerald of Mechanicsburg.

A private graveside service will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with The Rev. Dr. Norman C. Marks officiating.

Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, is handling the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Mountain View Bible Church, 34 Sipe Avenue, Hummelstown, PA 17036.

I am Judy's sister. We were always close growing up. During our lifetime we would go to plays together, talk on the phone every night and remissness about events that happened when we were kids. I will miss her so much. We loved each other and I am so glad we will meet again in heaven.
