Herman E. “Pap” Zinn, 67, of Middletown, passed away Friday, July 3, 2020, in the Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Hummelstown on September 23, 1952, he was the son of the late Herman H. and Mary E. Deimler Zinn.
An auto mechanic by trade, Herman was a parts driver for Napa Auto Parts and had formerly worked for Martin’s Garage both of Hummelstown. He had attended Lower Dauphin High School. Herman was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed Mopar Cars. Most important to him was being at home spending time with his grandsons and dogs, or just sitting on the recliner with his computer.
Herman is survived by his wife of almost 46 years, Diana M. DiVittore Zinn, whom he married on July 6, 1974; two daughters, Christina M. Wagner wife of Danielle of Harrisburg, and Sabrina A. Zinn of Middletown; two grandsons, Parker H. Wagner and Noah E. Zinn; and six sisters, Donna Gavigan, Vickie Johnson, Karen Gutshall, Nancy Llewellyn, Debbie Hall and Sandy Nauss; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 4 PM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Eli R. Eberly, pastor of Manada United Christian Church, Grantville, officiating . A viewing will be held in the funeral home Wednesday from 3 PM until time of the service. Inurnment will be in the Hershey Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
