Obituary

Gregory D. Ayers, 65, of Manor Care Health Services of Lebanon, and formerly of Palmyra and Hummelstown, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019, in the home.

Born in Carlisle on January 1, 1954, he was the son of the late Bruce D. and Vivian R. Holbert Ayers.

Greg retired after 35 years of service as a computer operator from Gannett Fleming, Camp Hill. He was a 1973 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School; and had studied computer technology. Greg was passionate about photography, 70’s and 80’s muscle cars, and computers. He was a kind man with a gentle and caring soul.

Greg is survived by one daughter, Megan Ritchie wife of Christopher of Palmyra; two granddaughters, Sara and Victoria; a sister Cheryl Lynne Boyer wife of Michael of Cleona; a dear aunt, Shirley J. MacCormack of Middletown; and numerous cousins.

In addition to his parents, Greg was preceded in death by a sister, Lovonda J. Mark.

At Greg’s request, there will be no services.
