Evelyn F. Dieffenderfer, 79, of Horse Cave, KY, and formerly of Hummelstown, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at her home.
Born in Hummelstown on July 9, 1939, she was the daughter of Aaron E. and Elizabeth M. Zettlemoyer Dieffenderfer.
Evelyn retired from Lebanon Valley National Bank. She was a member of Horse Cave Christian Church. Evelyn loved sewing, spending time with her family, enjoyed campfires and cookouts in the mountains, collected black bears and dearly missed her pets.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert L. Wiestling, on January 27, 1998; one brother, Donald A. Dieffenderfer; and two sisters, Thelma J. Phillips and Shirley M. Moore.
Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Tina M. Zimmerman of Lebanon, and Tory M. Kilmon wife of Michael of Horse Cave; one son, Thomas M. Wiestling of Horse Cave; three brothers, Marlin A. Dieffenderfer, and Ralph E. Dieffenderfer husband of Ginny of Hummelstown, and Earl R. Dieffenderfer husband of Carla of Mt. Joy; five grandchildren, Jarad Farst, Justin Farst, Jayme Zimmerman, Amber Wiestling and Ashley Wiestling; ten great-grandchildren, Jane Farst, Joy Farst, Jasper Farst, Grayson Deimler, Harper Deimler, Dakota Sary, Logan Sary, Alexis Sary, Dalton Sary and Brenson Wiestling.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with Pastor Michael Kilmon, her son-in-law, officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Township. Viewing will be held in the funeral home Tuesday from 10 AM until time of the services.
