Obituary

Daniel J. Frascella, 67, of Hummelstown, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at his home.

Born in Philadelphia on October 12, 1952, he was the son of the late Thomas A. Frascella, Sr. and Mary E. Reilly Frascella.

Dan was a retired professional commercial painter, and had worked for the former Porter’s Grocery Store and Weis Markets, both of Hummelstown. He was a 1970 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School and attended Dickinson College, Carlisle. Dan was a member and former football coach of the FFO, Inc., and a former Teener baseball coach, both of Hummelstown.

Dan is survived by his companion of more than 40 years, Karen Kotchey; and her children, Kevin Kotchey husband of Jolene of Harrisburg, Keith Kotchey husband of Joelisa of Hummelstown, and Kimberly Zvolensky wife of Geno of Middletown; and was PaPa to six grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Michael J. Frascella husband of the late Carolyn of Middletown, and Joseph M. Frascella and David J. Frascella both of Hummelstown; three sisters, Mary E. Mader wife of Ben, Theresa C. Book wife of John, and Helen Fies wife of Kerry, all of Hummelstown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas A. Frascella, Jr., and a grandson, Austin Kotchey.

A service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the FFO, Inc., P.O. Box 136, Hummelstown, PA 17036; or to the MDA Harrisburg Chapter, 2080 Linglestown Road, Suite 104, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
