Claude “Bud” Templin, Jr., 61, of Hummelstown, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020, in Carolyn’s House, Linglestown, with family by his side

Born in Harrisburg on September 14, 1958, he was the son of the late Claude “Sonny” Templin, Sr. and Blanche Burkett Templin.

Bud had formerly worked in Patient Transport at the Hershey Medical Center; and had a t-shirt business, Temp’s Signs, at Root’s Market, Manheim. He was a 1976 graduate of the Dauphin County Vocational Technical School. He worshiped at Grace Chapel, Elizabethtown, and Mountain View Bible Church, Hummelstown. Bud was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 410, the Anglers and Hunters, and social member of the VFW Post 594, all of Middletown. He loved street stock car racing in his car #56 at Silver Springs Speedway. A man of many talents, Bud also enjoyed fishing, boating, woodworking, painting, drawing and playing guitar. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Bud is survived by the love of his life for over 40 years, Dawn M. Eshleman Templin; his step-son, Michael A. Ruizquinones husband of Jennifer of Mechanicsburg; two brothers, David Templin of Palmyra, and Michael Templin husband of Joanna of Middletown; brother-in-law, Malcolm “Duck” Owen of Middletown; nieces and nephews, Eddie and Rachel, Jo and Dave, Tim and Becky, Nikki, Samantha, Meg, Brandon and Brianna, T.J., Dylan and Damion; several great nieces and nephews; and his beloved yorkie-poo fur babies, Poppy and Bella.

In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Ann “Kit” Finsterbush Owen.

A service to celebrate Bud’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions made to Carolyn’s House, 1701 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110
