Betty M. Zeiders Yankey Wynn, 91, of Hummelstown, passed away Monday, February 1, 2021, in Commonwealth Senior Living, Harrisburg.
Born in Harrisburg, on March 29, 1929, she was the daughter of the late
Luther and Alice Roher Zeiders.
Betty was a 1947 graduate of the former John Harris High School. She worked for the former Bell Telephone Company as a telephone operator, and then part-time for McDonald’s at the drive-thru. Betty was known for her witty sense of humor. She loved visiting Rehoboth Beach, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, Herman Wade Yankey; her second husband, Edward L. “Ed” Wynn, Jr., on February 7, 2014; and her younger brother Robert Zeiders.
She is survived by two sons, Karl W. Yankey husband of Debora of Hummelstown, and Robert E. Wynn husband of Carrie of Pawling, NY; two daughters, Donna M. Wynn of Elizabethtown, and Carol A. Hollinger wife of Michael of Hummelstown; eleven grandchildren, Wade, Jessica, Kiera, Jordan, Brenna, Paige, Rhys, Carenna, Faith, Caelinn, and Maren; and a great-granddaughter, Kendall.
A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
