Barbara E. Kolaric Laudermilch, 94, of Hummelstown, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012, in the Twin Oaks Nursing Home.
Born in Steelton on December 3, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Ivan Kolaric and Elizabeth Garicay Kolaric wife of the late John Petrina.
Barbara was retired from the former Luxing Company, Harrisburg. She also worked for the former H.B. Gladstone Candy Company and the former Ann’s Pies, both of Hummelstown. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, Hershey. Barbara was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary Unit 1687, Hummelstown. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking, and playing Bingo.
In addition to her parents and step-father, Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles E. Laudermilch on June 2, 1993; six brothers; and five sisters.
She is survived by three sons, Robert C. Laudermilch of Harrisburg, Gerald E. Laudermilch husband of Cheryl of Hummelstown, and John W. Laudermilch husband of Lisa of Hilton Head, SC; two brothers, Frank “Pete” Kolaric, Sr. of Hummelstown and Edward Petrina of Palmyra; three sisters, Bernadine Petrina of Palmyra, Josephine Toscano of Philadelphia, and Anne Bordner of Lebanon; five grandchildren, Walter Laudermilch, Robert Laudermilch, Jr., Gerald Laudermilch, Jr., Keith Laudermilch, and Michelle Trainor; and ten great grandchildren.
A celebration of Barbara’s life will be celebrated Monday, April 2, 2012, at 10 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, PA. Interment will be in Hershey Cemetery. Friends will be received for the viewing Monday, in the funeral home from 9 AM until time of the services.
