Obituary for Robert Neiswender
Robert H. Neiswender, 73, of Hummelstown, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2007 at his home.
Born in Hershey on August 16, 1934, he was the son of the late John A. and Violet S. Neiswender.
Bob was a master carpenter and a jack of all trades who enjoyed visiting Cudjoe Key, Florida. He retired as a carpenter from Mid State Corporation, Harrisburg, and was employed by the former John Stapf Corporation. Bob was a graduate of Hershey High School. He was a member of the Capenter’s Union, and the Hunters & Anglers Association, Inc. of Middletown.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby F. Weaver Neiswender, on June 13, 1974; and two brothers, John A. Neiswender, Jr. and Carl A. Neiswender.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Margaret A. Maren “Peg” Neiswender, whom he married on November 1, 1986; one son, Brian S. Neiswender husband of Robin of Ulysses; two daughters, Patricia Hughes of Mercersburg, and Laura K. Fuller wife of Michael of Linglestown; one brother, Kenneth R. Neiswender of Fishing Creek Valley; one sister, Betty N. Davis of Hummelstown; five grandchildren, Stephanie Gelwicks wife of Justin of Marion, Kimberly Elliott of Willow Hill, Zachary Neiswender and Sarah Neiswender both of Ulysses, and Nicole Fuller of Linglestown; and two great grandchildren, Selena Gelwicks and Trai Gelwicks both of Marion.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, is handling the arrangements.
