Obituary for Edith Popp
Edith Maulfair Popp, 76, of the Colonial Park Care Center, Harrisburg, and formerly of Middletown, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2009, in the Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg.
Born in Lebanon on January 3, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Mary Heim Maulfair.
Edith had worked for Mini Maids and the former Cocoa Nights Motel, Hershey. She enjoyed doing needlepoint and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Popp, Jr.; one daughter, Judy Kay Popp; and one son, Thomas J. Popp.
Edith is survived by three sons, Ronald L. Popp of Linglestown, George E. Popp of Bainbridge, and David E. Popp of Middletown; four daughters, Connie J. Miller of Highspire, Brenda K. Hill of Melbourne, FL, Josephine Popp of Elizabethtown, and Geraldine Popp of Middletown; eighteen grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with Pastor Robert D. Stiem of New Life Assembly of God, Grantville, officiating. Interment will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Monday, November 9, 2009 from 6 to 8 PM and Tuesday from 10 AM until time of the service.
