Reba M. Fetrow Henderson, 88, of Middletown, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017, in Carolyn’s House, Linglestown.
Born in Black Log, Juniata County, on August 31, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Raymond E. and Bertha R. Bilger Fetrow.
Reba was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister who devoted her life to caring for her family and home. She enjoyed babysitting the neighborhood children while their parents worked. Reba was a former member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Harrisburg. She was an avid reader; and truly loved working in her home and garden.
Reba was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil H. Henderson, Sr., on April 21, 1993; a brother, Ray L. Fetrow; and two sisters, Roberta Fetrow and Irene Renninger.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan M. Johnson wife of Rodney of Palmyra; four sons, Cecil H. Henderson, Jr. husband of Sharon of York Haven, David A. Henderson husband of Anne of Etters, Mark E. Henderson husband of Guy Isola, Jr. of New Cumberland, and Shawn A. Henderson husband of Jodi of Middletown; two brothers, John R. Fetrow husband of Janet of Newton Hamilton, and Martin D. Fetrow of Hummelstown; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Jason R. Mackey, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, Hummelstown, officiating. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Township. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewings in the funeral home Monday, October 16, 2017, from 6 to 8 PM and Tuesday from 10 AM until time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
