Obituary for Bonnie L. Wagner (Thomas)

Bonnie L. Wagner (Thomas)
Bonnie L. Thomas Wagner, 66, of Hummelstown, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017, in the Lancaster General Hospital, with her loving family by her side.
Born in Danville on December 6, 1950, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Temperence "Becky" Hornberger Thomas.
Bonnie retired from The Hershey Company. She was a 1969 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School, and a graduate of Empire Beauty School in Harrisburg. Bonnie was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hummelstown, where she had served on the Congregation Council, Altar Guild, and in the nursery. She was also a member of the former Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Unit 1687, Hummelstown, and several athletic booster clubs for her children’s sports at Lower Dauphin. Bonnie tremendously enjoyed shopping, traveling cross country with her husband on their motorcycle, spending weekend get-aways with her Harley girlfriends, and spoiling her dogs. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Bonnie loved nothing more than taking care of her family, cooking and baking, and spending time with them at family gatherings.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 34 years, Darrel L. Wagner, whom she married on May 6, 1983; three daughters, Brandi L. Fasnacht wife of Gregg of Palmyra, Brooke E. Ludwig of East Petersburg, and Brianna R. Wagner of Shermansdale; one son, Darrel L. Wagner II of Annville; seven grandchildren, T.J. and Trevor Fasnacht, Owen Ludwig, Summer and Courtney Burnett, and Damien and Mackenzie Wagner; two sisters, Cheryl M. Parr, and Cindy L. Monn wife of Glenn R., both of Hummelstown; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James E. Thomas, II, and Randy L. Thomas.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 11 AM in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Lois K. Van Orden, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Hummelstown Cemetery. Friends are invited to the viewings Tuesday, July 11, 2017, from 6 to 8 PM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, and on Wednesday in the church parlor from 10 AM until time of the services.
Those desiring, may send memorial contributions to Pitties.Love.Peace, Inc, PO Box 534, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
