Charles E. Wyland, 64, of Hummelstown, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017, in the M. S. Hershey Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Harrisburg, on August 27, 1952, he was the son of Raymond M. Wyland, Sr. and Margaret E. Weibley Wyland.
Charles was a master Subaru technician for Faulkner Subaru for over 30 years. He was a 1971 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School, Hummelstown. Charles was a member of Stoverdale United Methodist Church, where he served as chairperson of the Congregational Council. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, enjoyed working on cars and woodworking. Most important to Charles was his family, especially spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Charles is survived by his loving wife, Kandy L. Shope Wyland; a son, Christopher B. Beck of Mt. Joy; two daughters, Allison M. Beck of Chambers Hill and Ashley B. Wagner of Mansfield; two brothers, Raymond M. Wyland, Jr. of New Cumberland and Terry R. Wyland, Sr. of Hummelstown; two sisters, Maryanna E. Page of Harrisburg and Rayanne M. Tregea of Hummelstown; eight grandchildren, Micheal A. Bonawitz, Christian S. Mastervich, Brittany S. Scharpf, Lily G. Wagner, Maryalice J. Wagner, Joelle F. Wagner, Ryan C. Beck, and Kelly M. Beck; two great grandchildren, Audrina M. Mastervich and Westyn M. Mastervich, and a great grandson on the way.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 11 AM in Stoverdale United Methodist Church, 1760 Wood Road, Hummelstown, with Pastor Scott R. Hover, officiating. Friends are invited to greet the family from 10 AM until time of the services.
