The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of James Zerbe can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Susie (Crowley) Hatfield
Condolence: Dear Margie and Chuck, I was so sorry to read of Jim's passing. Margie, you and Jim were such great neighbors.....always friendly and smiling. I recall one particular winter when we had a terrible snowstorm and we were literally unable to get out because the streets weren't yet plowed.....much to my surprise the doorbell rang and there you and Jim were on your snowmobile asking if we needed anything from the Weis Market? You two went around the entire neighborhood and made numerous trips until everyone was cared for.....and also one summer we had a block party down at the corner of Andrea Ave.and Lawrence Dr, where Betnie Farley lived . You and Jim had just gotten your mop heads and I wanted to take a ride...Jim gave me instructions and off I went around the development and when I got back to the party I forgot how Jim told me to use the brakes and I ran over two shrubs until John Endsley managed to grab hold and stop me ........and I remember at Halliween when Chris and Beth would come home all excited because Mr. & Mrs. Zerbe had given them each a quarter and a pencil....they thought that was so neat......I have many wonderful memories of our years together in Harris Hills. may Jim rest in peace and may you and Chuck find solace in remembering what a remarkable man he was....Fondly, Susie
