Obituary for Gloria Lynne Kuehl (Leeney)
Our dear friend, Gloria Lynné Kuehl, 65, was welcomed into Heaven on Monday, July 10, 2017.
The daughter of the late Omar “Huck” Leevey, and Shirley Dianne Buckley Leevey, Lynné was also predeceased by her sister, Cheryl Dianne Hunt, and her grandmother, Gertrude Disney Buckley of Warrensburg, IL. Lynné is survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Although she lived with Cerebral Palsy, Lynné approached life with a feeling of plenty. She was at peace and anxious to be with the Lord.
Born in Decatur, Illinois on March 20, 1952, she and her family moved to Rhode Island for 15 years. Later, she moved to Pennsylvania for 20 years. No matter where she was, Lynné made it a priority to keep in touch with everyone. Her love of Jesus and her family showed through everything that she did. Lynné loved swimming, singing and gardening, but mostly she loved people and making them smile.
Lynné is survived by a huge family of her own making, the many people from around the country who called her “friend”. Special thanks go to Tina and Jim Wallish, with whom she lived during the last months of her life.
To say that she will be missed is an understatement; those who knew Lynné will never forget her.
A Celebration of Lynné’s life will be held Friday, July 14, 2017, at 7 PM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Justin W. Douglas of The Bridge, Hummelstown, and Pastor Thom Keller of Calvary Chapel, Lebanon, officiating. Visitation will be Friday in the funeral home from 6 PM until time of the service.
In keeping with Lynné’s wishes, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice; or to the Buried Treasures Home, P.O. Box 4460, Byrum, MS 39272. (Buried Treasures Home is a ministry for women that is focused on transition from prison and addiction; transformation of mind, body and spirit; and trusting self and others.)
