Ronald S. “Duke” Painter, 49, of Steelton, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 5, 2016.
Born in Harrisburg on January 23, 1967, he was the son of the late Lillian Carr Wevodau and Ernest A. Brown, Sr.
Ron was a self-employed contractor. He was a 1985 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing guitar, and going to concerts; especially Frank Zappa. He attended Day Springs Ministry. Ron was a people person, he loved helping others and giving his time to others.
Ron is survived by his siblings, Violet Ferguson wife of Robert of Port Richey, FL, Ernest A. Brown, Jr. husband of Connie Patrick of Palmyra, Kevin L. Brown of Hummelstown, Terri L. Kienzle widow of Steve of Hummelstown, Dwaine F. Brown, Sr. husband of Susan of Port Royal, Robin S. Morris and Cynthia Johnston widow of Kevin both of Harrisburg; his son, Corey Long Painter of Millersburg; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and millions of friends.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, Interment will be in the Hummelstown Cemetery. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Thursday from 10 AM until time of the service.
