Louis S. DeMaddis, 70, of Hummelstown, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015, in the M. S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, on August 30, 1944, he was the son of Marian Marchiano DeMaddis of Long Island, NY, and the late Nicholas DeMaddis.
Lou was the owner of a contract cleaning business called L&M Cleaning in New York. He enjoyed cooking at his several flea market stands at various locations. An entrepreneur, his passion was planning new business ventures. Lou loved raising pigeons.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Michaelyn Ringle DeMaddis, whom he married on August 19, 1984; two sons, Louis S. DeMaddis, Jr. husband of Antoinette, and Michael DeMaddis; two daughters, Maryanne DeMaddis and Carol Trotto; two step-daughters, Julie Davis Bartol wife of Keith, and Randye Davis-Alvy wife of Richard; one sister Marilyn Ecomou wife of Ernie; 16 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his father, Lou was preceded in death by a son, Ricky DeMaddis.
A Prayer Service will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Fr. Alfred P. Sceski of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church as officiant. Inurnment will be in the Hummelstown Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family in the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 AM until time of the service.
