Born in Campbelltown on August 30, 1932, he was the son of the late George and Ida Pearl Gingrich.
Harry was an exceptional stone mason. He was a master magician and sleight of hand artist, especially skilled with card magic. Harry was a 1950 graduate of Hershey High School. Harry studied electronics with the National Radio Institute, was a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and the Society of American Magicians, and was a member of the Bob Smith Detachment #784 of the Marine Corps League. Harry was a very creative man; he enjoyed his masonry, woodworking, oil painting, and dabbling with electronics. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Harry is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Sandra J. Mengel Gingrich, whom he married on September 2, 1964; two sons, John D. Gingrich of Harrisburg and James A. Gingrich of Hummelstown; a daughter, Jan N. Caudle wife of Michael of Harrisburg, NC; a sister, Wanda Hower of Campbelltown; and numerous caring nieces and nephews.
