Obituary for Turner L. Newburn

Turner L. Newburn, 71, of Annville, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2014.
Born in Citronelle, AL, on April 23, 1943, he was the son of the late Turner L., Sr., and Margie Parnel Newburn.
Turner was a mechanic for H.B. Reese Candy Company and loved raising cattle. He worshipped in the Brethren faith. When not tending to his cattle, Turner enjoyed hunting.
Turner is survived by his wife of 13 years and companion of over 30 years, Marlene A. (Fink) Confair Newburn, whom he married on August 1, 2001; three daughters, Holly Newburn of Lititz, Brenda Newburn of Anchorage, AK, and Melanie Bennani of Lebanon; a brother, Edwin Newburn of Citronelle; two sisters, Louise Henderson of Citronelle, and Betty Buchanan of Sandersville, MS; four step children, Robert Confair of Hershey, Christine Clawser of Lebanon, Joseph Confair of Lawn, and Jeffrey Confair of Palmyra; and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 3 PM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. John P. Harpold, Minister of Visitation of Midway Church of the Brethren, Lebanon, officiating. Interment will be in the Brethren Cemetery, Mobil County, AL, later in the week. A viewing will be held on Monday in the funeral home from 2 PM until time of the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Children’s Miracle Network, PO Box 850, Hershey, PA 17033.
