Frank T. Vinsky, 93, of Frey Village and formerly of Hummelstown, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014, in Frey Village, Middletown.
Born in Harrisburg on February 6, 1921, he was the son of the late Frank and Carrie Vinsky.
Frank retired from the former Olmstead Air Force Base after 33 years as an aircraft mechanic for the helicopters. He was a graduate of Steelton High School. Frank was an U.S. Army veteran having served in the Pacific during World War II. He enjoyed assembling clocks and loved spending time in his yard.
Frank was preceded in death by his loving wife, Geraldine Diener Vinsky on November 16, 2002; a brother, Richard Vinsky; and two sisters, Vera Diener and Pat Kaobikowski.
He is survived by a daughter, Marla Vinsky Bathurst wife of Ken W. of Elizabethtown; two grandsons, Joseph and Jordan; two step-granddaughters, Kelly and Brandi; a great grandchild yet to be born; and a step-great granddaughter, Gracie.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 9, 2014 at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Township. Friends are invited to call for a viewing in the funeral home Friday from 10 AM until time of the services.
