Obituary for Roy J. Osborne Sr.

Roy J. Osborne, Sr., 65, of Hummeltown, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013, in the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Bartow, FL, on November 22, 1947, he was the son of the late Roy C. and Mary E. Spillers Osborne.
Roy was a retired truck driver for Hess Trucking Company, Inc., Harrisburg, and the former Highspire Trucking Company. He was an U.S. Air Force veteran having served in the Vietnam War. Roy was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, AMVETS Post 286 and VFW Post 1213 both of Rutherford, and the American Legion Post 998, Lawnton; and was a social member of the St. Lawrence Lodge No. 13, Steelton.
Roy is survived by his wife, Carole A. Osborne, whom he married on December 7, 1990; one son; two daughters; three sisters; and one brother.
Services will be held at a later date. Inurnment with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, is handling the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association, 3001 Old Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
