Obituary for Karen A. Ziegelmeier (Wolf)

Karen A. Ziegelmeier (Wolf)
Karen A. Wolf Ziegelmeier, 76, of Mechanicsburg and formerly of Hummelstown, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013, in The Bridges at Bent Creek, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Hershey on February 9, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Carrie E. Pasquali Wolf.
Karen retired as a pharmacist from the former Medco & Company Inc. She was a 1955 graduate of the former Hummelstown High School, and a 1959 graduate of Columbia University, New York. Karen was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Parish, Camp Hill. She was a member of the Hummelstown Historical Society, and participated in Tai Chi with the Hampden Township Recreation Board. Karen enjoyed gardening and loved animals, but she lived for spending time with her friends, family and her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Oscar C. Ziegelmeier on October 21, 1991.
She is survived by three sons, Andre O. Ziegelmeier of Wilmington, DE, John Peter Ziegelmeier husband of Veronica of West Palm, FL, and Michel Ziegelmeier of Etters; two daughters, Jennifer A. Miller wife of Timothy J. of Mechanicsburg, and Caren Rose Herbert wife of John Peter Herbert of York; her sister, Patricia R. Wolf of Hummelstown; and twelve grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 1 PM in St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 Areba Avenue, Hershey, with The Rev. Fr. Michael Rothan as celebrant. Interment will be in Hershey Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Saturday in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Disease & Related Disorders Association, South Central PA Chapter, 3544 North Progress Avenue, Suite 205, Harrisburg PA 17110.
