Obituary for Ronald Cobaugh
Ronald M. “Chief” Cobaugh, 66, of Halifax and formerly of Hummelstown, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012, in his home.
Born in Hummelstown on June 12, 1946, he was the son of the late Edwin M. and Irene E. Lerch Cobaugh.
Ronald was employed part time by Gary Miller working on his farm. He was previously employed as a truck driver for Pennsy Supply and Boger Concrete Company. Ronald was an U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the former Brethren in Christ Church, Hummelstown. Ronald was also a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed working on puzzle books, playing his hand-held video games, and spending time with his family.
Ronald is survived by his loving companion of 24 years and common law wife, Carol A. Crater Hall; two brothers, Edwin A. Cobaugh husband of Donna Shope Cobaugh, and Warren P. Cobaugh husband of Bonnie Brunner Cobaugh; two sisters, Doris J. Schildt wife of Richard W. Schildt, and Ethel M. Kolaric wife of James R. Kolaric; three step children, Jason A. Hall fiancé of Jeannie Wright, Rachel A. Castillo wife of Luis, and Penny L. Crater companion of Rod Ellison; 10 step grandchildren; and 5 step great-grandchildren.
Inurnment with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Township, at the convenience of the family.
