Doris H. Baker, 86, of Columbia Cottage, Campbelltown, and formerly of Hummelstown and Chambers Hill, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012, in the M. S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Steelton on April 3, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Nelson D. and Agnes Carberry Harclerode.
Doris retired from the former Bell Telephone of Pennsylvania serving as a supervisor in the Harrisburg and Allentown branches. She was a 1944 graduate of William Penn High School. Doris was a member of the Bell Telephone Pioneers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe C. Baker, on August 16, 2009.
Doris is survived by one son, Richard J. Baker husband of Virginia C. of Chambers Hill; one sister, Betty Farling of Allentown; three grandchildren, Adrienne J. Baker of Quakertown, Amanda J. Potteiger wife of Andrew M. of Mertztown, and Scott R. Baker of Hershey; and three great granddaughters, Grace L. Potteiger, Avery V. Potteiger and Ella E. Potteiger all of Mertztown.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 9, 2012, at 11 AM in the Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin, with The Rev. Bruce W. Potteiger, pastor of Salem Belleman’s Church, Mohrsville, officiating.
